Realty Steering Committee​

The Realty Steering Committee is composed of some of the most influential and well-known movers and shakers in Belgian real estate.

Its primary task is to strengthen the concept and to advice on the programme for the next edition of Realty, working closely together with stakeholders and the wider real estate community.

Benjamin Cadranel

Benjamin Cadranel

Benjamin Cadranel was born in Brussels on 12 September 1974, where he resides today. He obtained his law degree from ULB in 1998 and was a constitutional law teaching assistant from 2002 to 2015. He joined Brussels Minister-President Charles Picqué’s office in 2004, and became chef de cabinet in 2007. Since 2013, he has been the CEO of citydev.brussels, which specializes in developing mixed-use, sustainable urban projects, integrating production activities into the urban fabric, and producing affordable housing.

Olivier Carrette

Olivier Carrette obtained a master degree in Law – Notary at KU Leuven in 1995.
He joined UPSI-BVS (Union Professionnelle du Sector Immobilier – Beroepsvereniging van de Vastgoedsector) as CEO in 2007.
UPSI-BVS is the professional organization for the real estate sector in Belgium. UPSI-BVS includes the leading Belgian companies operating in real estate related industries such as real estate development, land parcelling and real estate investment.

Gaétan Clermont

Gaétan Clermont

Gaétan Clermont is co-CEO and shareholder of the Eaglestone Group.
Eaglestone Group is active in both real estate development and value add investment in Belgium, France and Luxemburg, where it develops and owns more than 800.000 m² of projects, representing a portfolio value of about 4 billion EUR.
Eaglestone is active in the office, residential, student accommodations and hotel markets in more than 40 cities in these three countries. 
Gaetan Clermont is President of Eaglestone France which is the owner of two large developers in France: Interconstruction and Cardinal having offices in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux.   

Jo De wolf

Jo has been active in European real estate since 1997. After a first job as marketing director of a Belgian development company, he broadened his real estate expertise in various companies of the Belgian stock quoted investment fund Ackermans & van Haaren. In different functions, Jo was responsible for the asset management of the REIT Leasinvest Real Estate, the investment policy of Extensa Group and acted as development manager for the reconversion project Tour & Taxis in Brussels. From 2006 until 2010, Jo was active as Head of the Real Estate Department of The Brussels Airport Company. Since October 2010, Jo is Chief Executive Office of Montea, a Belgian REIT, investing in logistic and industrial real estate in Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany.

Suzy Denys

Suzy Denys

Suzy Denys holds a degree in law (Université Notre Dame de la Paix de Namur and KU Leuven) and postgraduate degrees in property studies (KU Leuven) and business management (Ehsal). She began her career as a lawyer. She then moved to Redevco, and Codabel. Since 2020 she holds the position of Country Manager at PATRIZIA BeLux, and combines this function with Director Transactions.

Serge Fautré

Serge Fautré is Chief Executive Officer of AG Real Estate, the real estate arm of the Belgian insurer AG, and real estate advisor of Ageas. He joined AG Real Estate in 2012, after ten years as CEO of Cofinimmo. He served as Chairman of EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) from 2005 to 2009. He is Chairman of Interparking, Vice-Chairman of Ascencio, Honorary Chairman of UPSI/BVS (the Belgian Professional Real Estate Association), which he chaired from 2017 to 2020, and Chairman of the Real Estate Executive Master programme at St Louis / LLM / Ichec. He was also a Board Member of the French insurer AG2R La Mondiale from 2000 to 2020. He holds a Master in Economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and a Master in Business Administration from Chicago Booth

Anne Catherine Galetic

Anne-Catherine Galetic

An engineer-architect and urban planner with a Master of Sciences in Urban Studies and Planning from MIT (USA), she began her career in the field in Brazil, Haiti, Jordania and the United States. A few years later, she completed her education with an MBA at INSEAD and broadened her professional spectrum with experience in finance in London (Citicorp). Back in Brussels in 2003, she developed various large real estate projects for a renowned developer, before founding Galika in 2008.
At the centre of her approach is the human being and his relationship with nature. Convinced of the positive effects that nature has on our quality of life, the environment plays a major role in the design of Galika’s projects

Marnix Galle

Marnix Galle (59) began his professional career in 1987 at Cegos Belgium as a consultant, after having studied economics at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. In 1989 he took his first steps in the real estate sector (family portfolio). His own company Allfin (°2001) became one of the leading real estate developers in Belgium. In 2014, Allfin took a 29% stake in Immobel, listed on the Brussels Stock Exchange since 1863. Following the merger between Allfin Group and Immobel in 2016, he became its Executive Chair.

Stéphan Sonneville

Stéphan Sonneville has been Chief Executive Office of ATENOR since March, 2005. He started his career in 1986 at PWC, first as Auditor and then as Senior Auditor. He began to work for ATENOR in 1990 as Internal Auditor, then as Development Manager and then became General Manager. He has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer for 17 years now. He is the originator of the Management buy-out of ATENOR in 1997 and is himself part of the Shareholder Agreement.  He is active within professionnal associations such UPSI (as President) and Brussels Enterprises Commerce and Industry – BECI (as Director).

Raymund Trost

Raymund Trost joined the CFE Group in November 2015 as CEO of CFE Contracting. He became CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee of CFE Group in July 2022. Under his leadership, CFE Contracting expanded its Multitechnics (VMA) and Rail (MOBIX) activities, significantly increased its presence in Poland and Luxembourg and launched new activities such as Wood Shapers (timber modular constructions) and VMANAGER (smart building management systems). He has placed sustainability and digitalization at the heart of the company’s strategy. Raymund is originally from the German-speaking Community of Belgium. He began his professional career in several public bodies including the European Commission. In 1992, he joined Owens Corning, where for more than 15 years he held several management positions in Europe and the United States. Prior to joining CFE, he was CEO of the Joris Ide Group. Raymund also serves as President of ADEB/VBA.
Raymund Trost

Kristof Vanfleteren

During his studies, Kristof was already fascinated with construction and property development. In 2003, he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering and subsequently he broadened his knowledge and skills through the Master’s programme in General Management at Vlerick Business School.
After completing his studies, Kristof started his career as Business Development Manager at Eurinpro in 2003 – where he first worked with Davy Demuynck – and he then became Country Manager CEE at Goodman. In 2007 it was time for a change and Kristof joined Allfin as Development Director.
In 2011, given their like-minded vision on innovative property development, Kristof and Davy decided, with the support of Paul Thiers, to set up their own property development company in West Flanders. That is how ION was born. Today, Kristof is managing partner and CEO, and together with Davy, he focuses on building a successful future for ION and its projects.

David Vermeesch

Since January 2023, David is co-Managing Partner of Colliers Belgium.

David started out in 1997 at Colliers Auguste-Thouard, as Head of Letting & Sales. In 2001, he joined CBRE, where he held the same role. From 2010 to 2013, he worked as Sales Director for the BNP Paribas Real Estate account. He then co-founded BelSquare in 2013.

With a degree in German, David also has a ‘licence spéciale’ (certificate) in Finance from ICHEC (Brussels Management School). He is also accredited by IPI (Belgian Professional Institute of Estate Agents) and RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).
